CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCILLOR

Sam is a second term City Councillor representing the Waimairi Ward. A Chartered Accountant by profession, Sam has experience in both the public and private sector.

Sam is the Chair of the Finance and Performance Committee, and Insurance Committee. He is also a director of Civic Building Limited, Christchurch City Holdings Limited and serves of several private Boards.

Sam’s primary focus at Council is and providing effective Governance to the City that ensures the Council focuses on outcomes rather than process. He is particularly interested in reducing the ongoing rating pressures that the Council continues to impose on residents.
