Jamie Gough
Building Christchurch
City Council and Community Board Candidate for Fendalton/Waimairi
The past three years as your elected Community Board member have reaffirmed to me how much I want to represent the people of Christchurch, my hometown where I live and serve. I’m proud to be helping build Christchurch for you, your family and your community.
My focus is that you’re enabled by Council, not stifled. Water quality, controlled rates, efficient core Council services, open decision-making and Central City revitalisation are paramount to me. And ultimately, I’m committed to incentivising positive outcomes.
I’m committed to incentivising not disincentivising, encouraging forward thinking, rewarding go-getters, supporting strong communities, preserving our heritage and ensuring that your voice is heard about the table.
Being directly involved in private enterprise and at 25-years-old, I bring that energetic and fresh thinking approach. I’m a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors and was elected to the Executive of the Central City Business Association by the City’s business community. I’m involved on a range of Boards and Trusts, including serving as Deputy Chairman of the Community Services Committee and am actively involved with the Bone Marrow Cancer Trust. I’m qualified and regularly sit on RMA Hearings Panels.
I have the local government and business experience.
